Back to School, Back to Fitness

It’s almost that time of year again… The stores are full of school supplies, summer programs are winding down, and the kiddos are getting ready to go back to school. And while the summer is a great time for family bonding and making memories, a lot of us fall out of our fitness routines. And yes, while a day at the beach is more active than a typical Netflix Binge Session Sunday, its not really a workout (unless you make it one) and most of us (adults) are probably snacking and drinking less than super nutritious foods and drink while lounging around the pool. So, at the end of the summer, we might be tan, but our fitness level may have taken a turn for the worse.

So, as you start preparing your kids for a new school year, why not consider enrolling yourself in a new fitness program? Being a parent or an adult shouldn’t always be about self-sacrifice. In fact, making sure you are fit and healthy not only makes you feel better it enables you to be a better parent, employee or boss, spouse, and just a better all-around person! You’re more productive, get sick less often, and you’re less depressed. You also have more energy to play with you kids!
